“What is a Managed I.T. Service?”
A Managed I.T. Service can take many different roles within the scope of Information Technology. The most common role would be to give companies, either small businesses or large corporations, the choice of how they use or would need their Information Technology Department’s scaled.294

“Does a Managed I.T. Service replace an existing I.T. Department already in place?”
The short answer is “it depends”. A Managed I.T. Service works best when it can be scaled to fit each client’s needs. Of course a large corporation wouldn’t want or need their I.T. Department completely under a Managed I.T. Service, and then you wouldn’t expect a small 2 computer business to have a staff of 50 I.T. Professionals on payroll. At Monarch I.T., we pride ourselves on being able to fit the needs and budgets for any size company.

Not necessarily. Although we pride ourselves on being one-on-one with our client’s needs, we use state of the art resources which give us the ability to resolve smaller issues quickly and remotely.

“What about hours your office isn’t open, do you have after-hours care?”
Absolutely! At Monarch I.T., we understand that problems don’t always happen around our schedule or when it’s convenient. By choosing us for your I.T. needs, you can be assured that we will always be available to assist in your needs. We can also work to resolve issues by scheduling maintenance times that meet your needs.

“I like what I’ve read so far, but the tech people I have dealt with in the past have made me feel like I should read a dozen technical manuals just to understand what they’re saying. I don’t like calling help desks because of this. Will Monarch I.T. help me understand the issues and how they need to be resolved without all the technical jargon?”
We hear this all the time! Many times, you’ll contact a help desk and find a person who just acts as if you’re completely bothering them and they don’t have time for you. At Monarch I.T., we have extensive recent experience with training others from focused tasks of using a specific program, all the way to providing complete training classes of comprehensive solutions. “What are the different types of payments your company accepts?”
At Monarch I.T., we can setup up various payment arrangements to fit your needs. We offer arrangements of Net30 billing, a monthly subscription billing arrangement, or if your needs are just a one time simple change to your I.T. organization, you can choose to pay us at a single payment as “services rendered”.

“I understand the concept of I.T., but what specific services or products does your company offer?”
ProfessionalgroupThis is one of the most commonly asked questions. A very simple way of thinking of our team is to just think of us as being your company’s I.T. Department without the “overhead” of payroll, benefits, or even having to pay for an I.T. staff’s cell phone. At Monarch I.T., we have partnered with leading companies to give the most back to our clients. Unlike a company’s I.T. staff, we are able to see a much broader scope of an ever changing industry.

“We are a medical facility, and are regulated by federal regulations. What about such regulations as HIPAA?”
This question is a big concern for Monarch I.T. too. We are very aware of HIPAA regulations in the health care industry and take extra steps when working around patient information to protect this information.

“We perform credit card transactions. What about PCI Industry Standards?”
As with HIPAA, we are completely PCI Compliant in everything we do. We would not do anything causing one of our clients to fail a PCI Audit. The tools we use to monitor the health and status of devices never compromises any data on the servers or workstations. The monitoring tools run in complete background mode only monitoring SNMP traps within the device. As an added bonus to our solution, we can also offer PCI Compliance Audit to give our clients the assurance they are within standards.

The facts leading to using a Managed I.T. Provider:

  • Most companies in place today using technology to help power their business have no I.T. staff available.
  • Those companies without an I.T. staff available will see problems and issues with their technology devices, and then have to find someone to solve the issues quickly.
  • Most of the “problem solvers” those companies find to help at the last minute will never see the underlying causes of why the problem happened.
  • The companies using an I.T. staff are simply paying someone a salary to sit and wait for problems to happen.
  • The I.T. staff who are paid to wait for those problems tend to be difficult to arrange to look at the problems, and tend to be annoyed when called on to help fix the problems.
  • Most I.T. staffers are not experienced to handle issues which are outside their realm, and don’t see enough variety to give them experience in the changing areas.
  • Most companies choosing to directly employ an I.T. staff have older equipment which many times causes their productivity and profits to suffer.

The facts of using a Managed I.T. Provider:

  • The companies with no I.T. staff available can use a Managed I.T. Provider for a fraction of what a single I.T. staff person would require in salary, benefits, and so on.
  • A Managed I.T. Provider, like Monarch I.T., is equipped to monitor devices, services on devices, even the subscriptions and warranties of the devices.
  • Being able to monitor individual devices, most problems can be avoided or even trended to prevent future problems.
  • Eliminating an I.T. staff salary, often times companies can use the extra budgeted money to invest in updated devices, software, or even put back into the profit listings.
  • Sending the responsibility of maintaining your infrastructure to a Managed I.T. Provider, it is in the best interest of that provider to make sure they are always well equipped to handle issues, staffed to managed the client’s needs, and most of all keep the client’s technology devices working well.
